Digital gasification

Gasification of residential buildings and facilities in Kazakhstan has often been associated with lengthy and complex procedures that require a lot of time and effort on the part of citizens. The lack of convenient tools for submitting applications for technical specifications and the search for contractors created inconveniences and difficulties for the population. In addition, the limited availability of information about gasification services made it difficult to make a decision on switching to gas.

The solution is digitalization. Today, digitalization is not only an actual trend in the gas industry, but also the simplification of procedures for connecting natural gas to the population.

KazTransGas Aimak JSC continues to actively work in the field of digital technology implementation to ensure the convenience of citizens and improve the efficiency of its services.

In this regard, since October 2023, KazTransGas Aimak JSC, a subsidiary of NC QazaqGaz JSC, has improved and automated the processes of issuing technical specifications (TU) for gasification. And obtaining technical specifications is the first step in gasification of a residential building.

Now citizens of Kazakhstan have access to a convenient way to obtain technical specifications for gasification of their residential buildings and facilities online through eGov.kz (https://egov.kz/services/GAZ01 / ). To do this, citizens only need to go through a few simple steps:

Log in to the eGov portal.kz;

Specify the contact phone number and email address;

Choose a residential address;

Select the address of the gasification facility;

Attach a scan of the technical passport;

Specify data on the gasification facility;

Sign the application using an EDS;

To wait for a response from KazTransGas Aimak JSC on the issuance of technical specifications or a possible refusal.

The process of reviewing and issuing technical specifications takes 5 working days for technically simple objects and 10 working days for technically complex objects.

“When introducing digitalization innovations, we are based on the principle of customer orientation and strive to make gasification processes simpler and more accessible to our citizens. The introduction of a new service on the eGov portal.kz is another step in this direction,” said Salim Nagym, Deputy General Director for Production of KazTransGas Aimak JSC.

It is important to note that since October 2023, through the eGov portal.kz has submitted more than 1,000 applications for technical specifications.

In addition, KazTransGas Aimak JSC operates a single contact center and a hotline at 5169, as well as via WhatsApp – 8-777-121-26-26, in order to inform consumers and promptly process requests on gas supply issues.

“A single contact center and hotline is an important tool for effective subscriber interaction with our company. It allows the company to process customer requests faster, and also provides prompt response to questions during the customer service process. Every month, the operators of the unified contact center process more than 3.5 thousand applications from consumers. The main issue that worries citizens is the gasification of residential buildings,” said Ualikhan Kymbatov, Technical Director of KazTransGas Aimak JSC.

Another convenience for the subscriber is the payment for the consumed natural gas. Thanks to the agreements of KazTransGas Aimak JSC and second-tier banks, the subscriber was able to pay for the natural gas consumption service in all available ways: with a plastic and virtual card, at the cash desks of production branches, using terminals and mobile applications of banks. Detailed instructions on how to pay through the bank’s applications are published on the Facebook and Instagram accounts of the company’s branches.

Also in January 2023, KazTransGas Aimak JSC launched a gas marketplace (https://market.ktga.kz ), which facilitated the search for licensed companies carrying out construction and installation work on the gasification of an apartment building. Users also have the opportunity to request price offers from several companies at once through the portal and receive information about the sale of indoor gas equipment (VDGO).

Now the plans for further digitalization of the company’s processes include the mobile application of KazTransGas Aimak JSC.
