Compliance

In accordance with the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated November 18, 2015 No. 410-V “On Combating Corruption” (hereinafter referred to as the Law), QAZAQGAZ AIMAQ JSC takes measures to prevent corruption, including minimizing the causes and conditions conducive to the commission of corruption offenses, by:

1) establishment of organizational and legal mechanisms that ensure accountability, accountability and transparency of decision-making procedures;
2) compliance with the principles of fair competition;
3) prevention of conflicts of interest;
4) acceptance and compliance with business ethics standards;
5) taking measures to form an anti-corruption culture;
6) interaction with state bodies and other organizations on the prevention of corruption.

QAZAQGAZ AIMAQ JSC (hereinafter referred to as the Company) has established a Compliance Service (hereinafter referred to as the Compliance Service).

The main task of the Compliance Service is to ensure compliance by the Company and its employees with the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan on combating corruption. The Compliance Service, in accordance with the established procedure, monitors the implementation of anti-corruption measures, including the assessment of corruption risks in the Company.

One of the parts of the comprehensive anti-corruption program implemented by the Company in accordance with the Law is the Anti-Corruption Policy of QAZAQGAZ AIMAQ JSC (hereinafter referred to as the Policy) (download).
When interacting with Counterparties, attention is drawn to how Counterparties conduct their business relations on a fair and honest basis, take care of their own reputation, demonstrate support for high ethical standards in conducting business, implement their own anti-corruption measures.
In order to minimize the risk in business relations with counterparties that may be involved in corruption activities, the reliability and tolerance of Counterparties to bribery is assessed, including an analysis of whether they have their own anti-corruption policies or procedures, their willingness to comply with the requirements of the Policy and include an anti-corruption clause to the Policy in contracts, as well as to provide mutual assistance for ethical business conduct and prevention of corruption (download).
