The work on connecting consumers to the gas supply has been completed in full.

On February 3, the emergency dispatch service of KazTransGas Aimak JSC received a message about the smell of gas on Akdala Street in the Martobe microdistrict of Shymkent city. Operational emergency recovery operations were carried out throughout the night, aimed at eliminating the leak. The work on connecting consumers was fully completed in full on the morning of February 4.

As a result of the survey, a gas leak was detected on an underground high-pressure gas pipeline with a diameter of 325mm (the year of commissioning in the 1970s). For safety reasons and to eliminate the accident, 1,450 private sector consumers, 7 units of industrial enterprises and 12 units of municipal facilities were disconnected from the gas supply system.

40 people from the IT Department, the operation and repair service, as well as 5 units of special equipment were involved in the liquidation of the emergency situation and the work on the re-start of gas from the SPF of KazTransGas Aimak JSC, Shymkent UMG of Intergaz Central Asia JSC and KazTransGas Onimderi LLP.

Note that this leak was formed as a result of a recent earthquake. Earlier, a similar situation was recorded on an underground steel gas pipeline of medium pressure near the village of Kainar.

In turn, KazTransGas Aimak JSC, together with Intergas Central Asia JSC and KazTransGas Onimderi LLP, has been conducting daily rounds to identify and eliminate negative consequences on gas pipelines and structures after the earthquake since January 23 of this year, and DLS-Pergam mobile laboratories are involved, allowing to increase the efficiency of the inspection of gas pipelines and structures on them for the presence of gas leaks and their immediate elimination.
