Active connection of consumers to natural gas is carried out in all regions of the presence of KazTransGas Aimak JSC.
In 2023, 107 settlements were connected to the gas supply system in 11 regions of the country. The total number of subscribers increased by 95,202 last year, reaching a total of more than 2 million 361 thousand subscribers of KazTransGas Aimak JSC.
The growth of subscribers is observed in the cities of Astana, Karaganda, Temirtau, Zhezkazgan. In Astana, a 10-thousandth subscriber is connected to gas supply. In Karaganda, a 2-thousandth subscriber of natural gas was congratulated. Gasification of the adjacent settlements to Zhezkazgan is gaining new momentum. The branches to the houses for gasification have been brought.
In general, the gasification of the Ulytau region began in 2021. Residents of the village were the first to receive blue fuel. Talap, to date, 78 out of 145 subscribers have connected to gas here, that is, 26%.
In 2023, the village was gasified. Kabanbai batyr. However, the first problem faced by the specialists of KazTransGas Aimak JSC at the beginning of this process turned out to be the lack of title documents for many residents of the real estate in which they live. A significant number of people do not even have old documents, they just live in houses, and utilities are issued to friends, relatives and pay for them monthly. The lack of clarity regarding home ownership slowed down the entire process of gas workers. In addition, a number of residents of the village, each for their own reasons, found themselves in a difficult life situation and they could not afford to pay for gas connection. The problem was solved jointly with the local executive body. The state has allocated budgetary funds to connect 123 families to gas. However, there were still residents who needed financial assistance to be able to connect to natural gas.
In this regard, in August 2023, KazTransGaz Aimak JSC, together with the Karaganda company Shubarkol Premium JSC, began work on free gasification of 12 houses where families belonging to socially vulnerable segments of the population live. The lists with the USN were provided by the Akimat of Zhezkazgan. The gasification of Kabanbai Batyr settlement solved the most important problem – the only boiler house, which had been supplying heat to all the houses of the village for decades, failed last year and could not be restored. The only way out was the gasification of the village and the solution to this problem was taken up immediately in the spring of last year, after the end of the heating season.
In total, 2,000 consumers have access to Zhezkazgan and adjacent villages, 32% of them are already connected.
